- This group is for adults interested in writing for stage. It follows our apprentice group model, which means some sessions run without a facillitator--these sessions are for you to use however you want. Some groups use them as quiet writing accountability sessions, sometimes a group member might volunteer to run a workshop themselves, you can use it to share your scripts and give each other feedback--whatever works best for you as a group.

About Jess Telling
Jess is an autistic theatre-maker, writer, and facilitator based in Manchester. She began working for Beyond the Spectrum in 2025 as a Shadow Writer for the LGBTQ+ group with New Writing South. Jess‘s debut play, Chameleon, was based on her experiences as an autistic woman. It debuted at Edinburgh Fringe in 2024, received the Keep it Fringe Fund, and was nominated for the Actually Autistic Award by Neurodiverse Review. It received two 4* reviews from EdFringeReview and returns to The Glitch for its London debut in 2025. She’s also worked with SWAN Scotland and London Autism Group to encourage autistic people to return to theatre. Jess spends her spare time reading, baking, and spending time with her cat, Reggie.

About Careese Hutchison
Careese is a neurodivergent, whimsical writer, with a deep love for coming-of-age stories, magical realism, horror, and sapphic narratives. She is currently working on her first book, a collection of stories inspired by her AUDHD and queer experiences, and rooted in mythology, nostalgia and 2000s British realism.
