Meet the Team

Beyond the Spectrum is run by a small, specialised team with support from Writing East Midlands staff.

Each writing workshop and group is run by a Lead and Shadow Writer. You can meet the team by scrolling down.

Rebecca Morris-Buck

Project Manager

Rebecca Morris-Buck is from Nottingham and has always been passionate about writing. She holds a BA in English Studies and an MA in Applied English from the University of Nottingham. A published novelist, her love of writing has been a thread through her portfolio career: her interest in storytelling led to costumed tour guiding in museums, and thus began fifteen years in the heritage sector, reaching management level, and where she is still a freelance consultant. Her museum work shifted her interest towards inclusive community engagement practice and creative collaboration across the arts.

With a personal belief in the life-affirming power of writing and storytelling, to create community and maybe even change the world, Rebecca is inspired by what Beyond the Spectrum has already achieved. She feels both excited and privileged to take the programme to even more autistic writers and help facilitate the sharing of so many more words and stories.
