Welcome to Writing East Midlands CIC (WEM) online booking terms and conditions. By placing an order on this website for a Beyond The Spectrum event you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions as set out below. We are not registered for VAT. WEM is the business that manages the BTS project.

No contract will commence between you and Writing East Midlands CIC for the sale by it to you of any product unless and until Writing East Midlands CIC accepts your order by email confirming that it has enrolled you on a course or event. For the avoidance of doubt, any such contract will be deemed to have been concluded in the United Kingdom.

Further, any such contract will be interpreted, construed and enforced in all respects in accordance with the laws of England, and you and Writing East Midlands CIC irrevocably agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.

Writing East Midlands CIC shall not be liable to any person for any loss or damage, which may arise from the use of any of the information contained in any of the materials used in this website.

All rights, including copyright, in this website are owned or licensed to Writing East Midlands CIC, unless otherwise stated. To the fullest extent as permitted at law, Writing East Midlands CIC is providing this website and its contents on an as is basis and makes no (and expressly disclaims all) representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, with respect to this website or the information, contents, materials or products included in this website including, but without limitation, warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

All disclaimers and exclusions included in these terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English Law. Should any provision of these disclaimers and exclusions be deemed to be unlawful, void or for any other reason unenforceable, then that provision will be deemed to be severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.

METHODS OF PAYMENT

You are able to pay for your events using direct bank transfer or all major credit, debit cards via Paypal (Mastercard, Visa, Visa Delta, Visa Purchasing, Switch, Solo, and PayPal account).

ONLINE SECURITY

Secure servers offer Writing East Midlands CIC customers the highest level of security when entering credit card details over the Internet. The SSL and payment facilities for Writing East Midlands CIC are protected by secure online processing systems. All credit/debit card purchases are subject to the normal validation checks and authorisation procedures adopted by the card issuer. Any refusal by the issuer of any payment card to authorise the payment to us, for any reason, will not render Writing East Midlands CIC liable for any delay or non-delivery.

EVENT INFORMATION

Beyond The Spectrum / Writing East Midlands CIC takes all reasonable care to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices of products appearing on our website are correct at the time the information is entered onto the system. We reserve the right to refuse orders where course information has been entered onto our website incorrectly including prices and promotional activity. All events offered on the Beyond The Spectrum web pages are subject to availability. If any event you have ordered is sold out before your order is accepted, we will notify you by email as soon as possible.

CONDUCT

We expect everyone associated with our activities to behave responsibly. We will alert you if we have any cause for concern and we reserve the right to temporarily or permanently exclude anyone whose behaviour is unacceptable. We do not tolerate any form of offensive behaviour.

REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS

Every effort will be made to run the advertised programme, we reserve the right to make changes should this become necessary. In the unfortunate event of cancellation by us, a full refund will be made. Refunds are not normally made in other circumstances. In exceptional circumstances consideration will be given to a written request from a participant who wishes to cancel.
