About Aoife Mannix

Aoife Mannix is a poet and writer. Her latest collection of poems, Reconstruction, was published by Flipped Eye in June 2024. She has published four previous collections, The Elephant in the Corner, Growing Up an Alien, Turn the Clocks Upside Down and Cocktails from the Ceiling. Her novel Heritage of Secrets was reissued in 2023 and she wrote the libretto for Stephen McNeff’s opera A Star Next to the Moon at the Barbican last March. She has been poet-in-residence for BBC Radio 4 and the Royal Shakespeare Company as well as working as a script editor for the BBC and for the young writers programme at the Royal Court theatre. She has a PhD in creative writing from Goldsmiths, University of London.

About Deborah Potter

Deborah Potter is a writer based in Leicester. She is currently studying an MA in English Literature at Leicester University, and enjoys writing short fiction and poetry in her spare time. In 2023, she published a collaborative anthology titled The Autistic Experience as part of an undergraduate assignment at De Montfort University. She has been a member of Beyond the Spectrum since the beginning of the project in 2021, and has taken part in WEM workshops since 2016.
